The Breakfast Area is a lovely casual area just off the Gathering Room. It adjoins the open kitchen and family area. The table will graciously seat six people and children may sit on tall stools at the bar. The table is near sliding glass doors and a window that look out over the beautiful pool area. It is an intimate setting that is wonderful when just a few people are present, plus it enjoys the warmth of the pass-through fireplace on cold days.

The large dining table comfortably seats ten people and can accommodate as many as twelve. It is set in a spacious open room just off the entry way and the Gathering Room, with the kitchen right behind it. It has a beautiful china cabinet and buffet with a spacious server. Large windows look out toward the front of The Walker House property.

Upon entering the lovely Walker House, one steps down from the raised entryway into the spacious openness of the Gathering Room. It has a 20-foot ceiling, with a wall of glass on one end, allowing one to enjoy the beauty of the pool and backyard in the comfort of an air-conditioned room. Three love seats recline into six recliners for comfortable viewing of the 36-inch TV equipped with digital cable and a DVD/VHS player. There is also a small reading table. This room opens into the breakfast area on one side and the spacious dining room on the other, with a stone column from floor to ceiling and a pass-through fireplace between the gathering room and the breakfast/kitchen area. The stone fireplace also reaches to the 20-foot ceiling and is adorned with an original wood carving of an Indian chief. Decorated in tones of deep red and black against a neutral background, the room sets a warm atmosphere for easy conversation.

This is the room to sit in if one is feeling a bit down or under the weather. With its warm yellow walls, antique lace, black-checked curtains, and sunflowers, it can make the cloudiest day seem sunny. It has four large windows. The room conveniently has a refrigerator, a microwave, and coffee pots, along with a supply of coffee, teas, hot chocolate, soft drinks or other beverages, popcorn, and “Miss” Martha’s baked goodies. It is furnished with dishes and silverware to enable guests to bring in food and enjoy it there. The table seats four, and there are two stools for additional seating. Of course there is an additional table in the nearby Freedom Room. Part of the library is also in this room, as well as a small TV and a number of board games.

You’ll be able to sip your coffee or favorite soft beverage by the pool side, on the back porch, or on the upstairs balcony, all of which are calmed by the sound of water gently splashing over rocks into the peaceful blue waters.
